Have you installed the beta patch that disables mods? Have you updated script extender? All mine work fine but i manually edited my ini files and made them read only after adding my mods to the ini. The beta patch is the survival mode right? I did have it installed, then I did this weird technique to get it uninstalled.

Now I no longer have it. Idk if that would still have the mods disabled though. Happened to be a few times thanks to the updates. Inspired by the historical minutemen of the American Revolution [1]settlers armed and trained themselves and pledged to help defend each other. As the organization expanded, acquiring dividends in both soldiers and resources, they first gained recognition after successfully defending Diamond City from a super mutant attack in Upon gaining enough resources, the organization eventually assumed control of Fort Independencetransforming it into their main base of operations.

Renamed as "The Castle," the group repurposed a large portion of the fort into an armory; in addition, they erected a large radio tower in the courtyard to broadcast the signal for ' Radio Freedom ,' a radio station with the purpose of notifying all members of the Minutemen about communities in distress.

After operating for a significant amount of time, the Minutemen made attempts to establish the 'Commonwealth Provisional Government' by uniting the various settlements of the Commonwealth. Unfortunately, these talks ended in the s when an Institute synth infiltrated a meeting and killed all of the settlements' representatives.

Later, in[4] the Minutemen were forced to abandon the fort, the reason being mirelurks suddenly assaulting the Castle with the intent to nest in and around it. Thinking it was a super mutant attack, General McGann locked himself deep into the armory behind a myriad of defenses.

With this last-ditch effort to protect the armory from being entered, he effectively doomed himself to die by dehydration, a demise hastened by his consuming a fair portion of the bottles in a case of wine.

Despite this, his act of defiance prevented the mirelurks from nesting within the armory bastion, preserving it well until the quest Old Guns. The last leader of the Minutemen, General Beckerwas killed at some point after his elected appointment as leader. Upon his death, the Minutemen began to experience internal strife, as the various groups couldn't agree upon a successor. The loss of the Castle only exacerbated the problem, and this disagreement on a new leader caused the political landscape to become incredibly fragile.

The entire situation came to a head following the Quincy Massacremany of the militias making up the group disbanding in disgust or turning to banditryfollowing the almost inevitable loss of popular and its attendant material support. Following the whole ordeal, only remnants of the Minutemen and their supporters remained.

With the exception of Preston Garveyone of the few survivors to escape the massacre thus still loyal to the cause of the organization, the Minutemen had effectively ceased to exist as a cohesive group. The Commonwealth Minutemen have little formal organization, being more of a volunteer organization of settlers involved in a mutual defense pact of allied communities.

The head of the organization was always known as a general, and was in charge of allocating assets and forces to those in need. The heads of the respective militia groups usually held the rank of Colonel. Previously, allied communities would call for help on a ham radio and an alert would be broadcast on the Minutemen radio frequency.

However, with the loss of The Castle, and its radio transmitter, there is no central organization. The Minutemen are a loosely organized group of settler militias. Members wear simple uniforms inspired by colonial era clothing and are often armed with whatever arms are available, such as pipe weapons and double-barrel shotguns.

The signature weapon of the Minutemen is the laser musket. The Minutemen also utilize artillerygiving them the means to project their power over great distances. At one point the group also possessed a functional sentry botwhich can still be found guarding The Castle 's armory. Soon after escaping Vaultthe Sole Survivor comes across the Museum of Freedom under attack by raiders.

They must fight their way upstairs, where they are introduced to Preston Garvey, who is leading a group against the raiders. The Sole Survivor later meets with Preston who then invites them to join the Minutemen and the Minutemen questline starts.

Throughout this questline, the Sole Survivor will be asked to lead the Minutemen and complete tasks to align more settlements with the Minutemen. So, in the castle the first few "settlers" you get are minutemen, and I was wondering if there was a way to obtain more of them since they have better stats, dialogues, and interactions with Preston Not to mention the RP value. Showing 1 - 11 of 11 comments. Before doing the quest "Taking Independence" do all the other Minutemen quests to get allied with all the other settlements. For each settlement you are allied with you will get another Minuteman to take the castle. Just keep telling Preston that you aren't ready yet and have him give you more settlement quests. I think that I saw just such a mod on the Nexus site, but I could be mistaken. To do it with console commands, use "player. Then use the workshop interface to send them to the Castle. Either way, thank you. Yeah I have the compatible version but the author of FCOM completely rewrote the scripting and said to paraphrase "any third-party patches are incompatible until updated to the new script files" so the MM;FCC is nigh-useless.

I'd check this all myself but my brother-in-law is playing Ghost Recon and shows no signs of getting off soon LOL.

I don't know if this Wiki is mod discussion friendly Elder Scrolls didn't really care for it last I checked so I wanted to make sure but if so, I'd like to ask:. Should I simply download the version that doesn't patch with FCOM for now or does anybody know if Militarized Minutemen will get an update soon? It's a complete rework of the entire script and though actually still kinda cool you'll have to deal with the yellow-shirted.

I'll just disable FCOM and wait for an update from Militarized Minutemen so I can just enable it and station my troops in the various locations. Yeah I usually go in favor of Operators and Pack respectively but this time I wanted to see who wanted to stay with me and they'd get the Commonwealth as payment.

Now everyone will burn for their insolence. I appreciate it. All I found was how to start Open Season but that's gonna be more for my MM character, this one is gonna be a straight warlord. I thought that was the case but having only dealt with them to decode the Courser Chip I guess they get jealous. It's fine though. I'm really good at roleplay so all this had become is a refreshing turn of events from what I originally had planned; closest video games can get to real life is these types of situations. I bet at the very least Vulpes could find the Hidden Valley bunker and like clog up or poison the vents kinda like they did in Searchlight. Bomb the entrance and keep them trapped and suffocating. I have seen the partols turn pop up at random places, sometimes in combat and sometimes not. Not even used the flare gun yet to summon the miniutemen, No idea how usfull it actually is. I guess they use Fast travel. Last edited by Xyzzy ; 17 Dec, am. I think its not a bug, but when certain NPCs and companions stay in your settlement they count towards your population. This is just a theory, but I think NPCs that did not come via recruitment signal do not count towards your limit.

No problem. One additional thing the mod allows you to do, which I cannot remember if it says in bold enough letters, is assign followers to other characters. The followers are more or less loyal to whoever holds a ring that spawns when you create them. I use it to give my pravisioners guards or companions, or use it to make my provisioners who travel rougher routes appear as faction squads. Play around with the settings.

I love the idea of them, having your own personal faction patrols out and about, and the flare gun is a great feature when it works They seem VERY gimped compared to other factions' patrols.

Showing 1 - 6 of 6 comments. The only minutman patrol I've seen out in the wild naturally was next to a behemoth. You can guess how that turned out for them.
